Caring for My Teeth is the title of this week’s message. That may seem strange, but the main idea that these kids are learning is that God made them. One of the implications of them being a special creation of God is that they need to care for their body. The passages of Scripture referenced in the lesson is Genesis 1:26-31; 2:7, 15, 16, 21-24.
Children learn that they need to take care of their body because God made them and that they were growing exactly as God planned for them to grow. The Bible Phrase that the children memorize for this week is
“God made me (Psalm 119:73).
I hope that this is helpful. And, as the title suggests, you can use this lesson at home to help your child take care of some of their needs like brushing teeth and bathing. If this is a struggle at home you can use this to help your child go further with these tasks. If this is not a struggle at your home you can simply teach your child the reason that we take care of ourselves.
